When a WordPress web app is installed, auto-updates will update WordPress core, plugins, and themes. However, the auto-update does not update translations for sites that have multiple languages (i.e. languages other than en_US) installed.
It would be nice for the auto-update script to trigger translation updates after the other updates are completed. To my knowledge, translation updates do not require WordPress to go into maintenance mode while they are being installed, but they do require WordPress to be able to write to certain directories in the file system. For the latter reason, it would be nice to have this done by the auto-update script to avoid issues with Fortification if the user attempts to update translations later.
